Is Orvipa a full replacement for my payroll engine?

Orvipa is built as a payroll operations workspace: timesheets, batch review, employer sign-off, registers, and exports. It is designed to fit alongside your compliance and year-end processes (for example T4s and remittances) rather than replace every back-office system on day one.

Does it support Canadian payroll?

Yes. The product is Canadian payroll aware—pay lines, statutory deductions, registers, and exports are oriented toward how Canadian accountants close the month and support client reporting.

How do we get started?

Use the contact form or email us to discuss your firm, client count, and rollout. We will set up access to the app at your organization and walk you through onboarding—typically starting with bureau administrators, then employers and employees as you expand.

How is pricing determined?

We price based on your number of client companies, employee scale, and whether you need enterprise options such as dedicated support or custom integrations. Use the contact form and we will reply with a tailored quote.

Where is my data hosted?

For self-hosted or private deployments, you control the environment. For cloud offerings, hosting and data residency are agreed during onboarding—ask us for the current options.

Terms of use

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the public marketing website located at the domain(s) operated by Orvipa (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy policy and Cookie policy. If you are using the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Eligibility

The Site is intended for users who are at least the age of majority in their jurisdiction and who can form legally binding contracts. If you do not meet these requirements, you may not use the Site.

Changes to the Site or Terms

We may modify the Site (including features, layout, and availability) or these Terms at any time. We will indicate updates to these Terms by revising the “Last updated” date on each policy page where applicable. Material changes to these Terms may be posted on the Site with a notice or effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms, except where prohibited by law. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Site.

Separate terms for the Orvipa product

Access to and use of the Orvipa payroll application, APIs, sandboxes, and related paid or trial services (collectively, the “Services”) is governed exclusively by the agreement between you (or your organization) and Orvipa—such as an order form, master services agreement, subscription terms, or terms presented at registration—not by these Terms alone. If there is a conflict between these Terms and your Services agreement, the Services agreement controls for use of the Services.

Permitted use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for your internal business purposes or personal evaluation of Orvipa’s offerings. You may not use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or our Acceptable use policy.

Accounts and credentials

The marketing Site may not require an account. If we offer gated content, demos, or portals that require registration, additional terms may apply. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials issued to you and for all activity under your account.

Content on the Site

Information on the Site (including descriptions of features, roadmaps, screenshots, and performance claims) is provided for general information and pre-sales purposes. Features may change; we do not guarantee that any particular capability will be available in your jurisdiction or on your subscription tier. The Site does not constitute legal, tax, accounting, or payroll advice. You remain solely responsible for compliance with employment standards, tax remittance, record-keeping, and reporting obligations applicable to your business.

Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about our products or the Site (“Feedback”), you grant Orvipa a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, disclose, and incorporate Feedback for any purpose without obligation or compensation to you, except where prohibited by law.

Intellectual property rights

The Site and its content—including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, page layout, and software—are owned by Orvipa or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Site or its content without prior written permission, except as allowed by applicable law (such as fair dealing or fair use for commentary).

Third-party links and materials

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources. Orvipa does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those sites. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement. You access third-party sites at your own risk.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Orvipa AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SUPPLIERS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL Orvipa, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF Orvipa AND ITS AFFILIATES FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SITE IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100) OR (B) THE FEES YOU PAID Orvipa SPECIFICALLY FOR ACCESS TO THIS MARKETING SITE IN THAT PERIOD (WHICH IS TYPICALLY ZERO FOR PUBLIC BROWSING).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Orvipa and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require application of another jurisdiction’s laws.

Dispute resolution and venue

Subject to mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence, you agree that the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. You waive any objection to venue in those courts.

Export and sanctions

You may not use or export any part of the Site in violation of Canadian, U.S., or other applicable export control or sanctions laws. You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or territory subject to comprehensive embargoes or sanctions where use would be prohibited.

General

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the policies linked herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Orvipa regarding the Site and supersede prior understandings regarding the same subject matter.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

No waiver. Failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, utility failures, or Internet disruptions.

Survival. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law) survive any discontinuation of the Site or your use of it.
